Reisitõrkekindlustusest ei pruugi streigi puhul abi oll

Üsna tihti kuuleme uudistest, et mõni lennureis on streigi tõttu ära jäänud. Puhkusereisi planeerijale on kurb uudis aga see, et reisitõrkekindlustusest ei pruugi sel juhul kulude hüvitamisel abi olla.

Reisitõrkekindlustuse eesmärk on küll kindlustada reisi ärajäämise, katkemise või hilinemise vastu, kuid nagu iga kindlustuse puhul, on ka siin rida välistusi, mille puhul seltsil ei ole kohustust hüvitist maksta. Üks sellistest välistustest ongi peaaegu kõikide seltside tingimuste järgi reisi ärajäämine, katkemine või hilinemine streigi tõttu.

Teine levinud välistus on loodusõnnetus (orkaan, vulkaanipurse), kuid mõnedes seltsides on võimalik loodusõnnetuse riski vastu siiski kindlustada, kui selleks lisakaitse osta.

Siit nähtub, et kõigi seltside tingimused on erinevad, nii et mis ühes seltsis on välistus, ei pruugi teises seda olla. Näiteks on seltse, kelle kindlustustingimuste järgi ei hüvitata reisile hilinemist siis, kui põhjuseks on tiiburlaeva mitteväljumine. Kui sinu soojamaareis aga pidi algama Helsingist ja valisid Soome pealinna jõudmiseks tiiburisõidu, mis võib tormi tõttu mitte väljuda, siis on see sinu jaoks oluline risk. Seetõttu tuleks tutvuda vähemalt kolme kindlustusseltsi pakkumistega, et endale sobivaim leida. Millele enne lepingu sõlmimist tähelepanu pöörata, loe siit.

Tähelepanu tasub pöörata ka sellele, mis on kindlustustingimuste järgi kindlustusjuhtum ehk teisisõnu see sündmus/sündmused, mille korral peab selts kahju hüvitama. Osadel seltsidel on tingimustes lihtsalt mainitud, et reisi ärajäämise või katkemise põhjuseks loetakse ootamatut ja ettenägematut sündmust, mille tõttu ei saa kindlustatu reisile minna või peab reisi katkestama. Teistel on aga konkreetsed põhjused samuti loetletud – näiteks võib reisi ärajäämise või katkemise põhjuseks olla kindlustatu või tema lähedase haigestumine. Seejuures on osade seltside tingimustes selgelt lahti kirjutatud, kes on lähedane inimene (nt ema, isa, laps, vend, õde), teistel seda tehtud pole.

Reisitõrkekindlustuse ostmist kaaludes tasub teada, et see ei hakka enamasti kohe kehtima. Kindlustusseltsid sätestavad lepingu jõustumise tähtaja erinevalt.  See tähendab, et kindlustus võib kehtima hakata kohe pärast lepingu sõlmimist ja kindlustusmakse tasumist, kuid levinum variant on see, et kindlustus hakkab kehtima alles 2–5 päeva pärast.

Üldiselt reisitõrkekindlustust eraldiseisvana osta ei saagi, sest reisikindlustuse leping hõlmab tavaliselt tervisekindlustust ehk meditsiiniabikindlustust, millele saab siis erinevaid lisakindlustusi juurde osta. Üks sellistest lisakindlustustest ongi reisitõrkekindlustus.

Kolm fakti, mida tasub teada

  • Reisikindlustuse leping hõlmab tavaliselt tervisekindlustust ehk meditsiiniabikindlustust ning selle eesmärk on hüvitada sulle ootamatu haigestumise või õnnetusse sattumise tagajärjel tekkinud kulud. Levinumad lisakindlustused, mida saab juurde osta, on reisitõrkekindlustus ja pagasikindlustus.
  • Kuna kõikide kindlustusseltside reisikindlustuse tingimused on erinevad, tasub võrrelda vähemalt kolme seltsi pakkumisi, et endale sobivaim leida.
  • Kui sul on sõlmitud reisitõrke kindlustus ning su reis jääb ära või lükkub edasi transpordifirma tõttu (näiteks lennuk ei väljunud tehnilise rikke või halva ilma tõttu), siis tuleb sul transpordifirmalt reisitõrke põhjuse kohta tõend võtta.
